For those of you who are interested in joining the ##NEED A RING## Webring, here's a brief list of eligibility requirements for your homepage submissions. Please read the following requirements carefully. If your homepage meets these requirements, your page will be guaranteed approval within 7 to 14 days of receiving your application. Thank you for choosing ##NEED A RING## as I look forward to having you as a part of my growing webring!

1.) No Porn

In order for my webring to appeal to broad audience and keep my existing members of happy, I will not accept any sites that contain sexually explicit material or pornography of any kind! This requirement also extends to sites that contain banners and links to pornographic sites. If your site does contain porn, please do not submit your site to this webring as there are many other adult-oriented webrings you can join.

2.) People Friendly Sites

Your site submission to my webring can consist of almost any subject matter as long as your site is well intentioned and people friendly. Sites that are not considered "people friendly" are websites that contain anything racist, unethical, or illegal. If your site does contain such subject matter, please do not submit your site to ##NEED A RING## .You would only be wasting your time and mine. Also, I will not accept any sites that use javascript or other scripting languages to create implemented traps. Implemented traps that cause the user to click an alert box 150 times, have his browser crash, etc. are a general nuisance and not very people friendly at all. Again, if you have a site that does contain such traps, please annoy someone else and look for another webring.

3.) Ring HTML Code Required

Members of ##NEED A RING## are required to place the ring HTML code upon his or her site. The ring code is a table of links that connect your page to the ##NEED A RING## homepage and other member sites within the ring. This code must be placed on the exact page you submitted when joining this webring. Member sites that do not contain the ring code may be subject to removal from the ring until further notice. If you have not received the ring HTML code, you may obtain this code by clicking here.

4.) No Spamming or soliciting other members for site of the month votes

As an incentive for ##NEED A RING## members to remain with the ring, a monthly contest is held in which three sites from the ring are selected as contenders for ##NEED A RING's## site of the month. The winner of the site of the month contest receives an award of recognition and will have his homepage directly linked to the site of the month listing of the ##NEED A RING## homepage. The SOTM winner’s link to the ##NEED A RING## homepage will last for an entire month, and the winner can expect to receive a lot of traffic to his site from other visitors and members of this webring. Winners of the contest are determined by popular vote where members and visitors to this webring cast votes for the three site of the month contenders under the vote listing of the ##NEED A RING## homepage. While there are many ways to get others to vote for your site such as posting a message on the ##NEED A RING## message board, please do not spam or send email solicitations to other ##NEED A RING## members persuading them to vote for your site. Spamming other members will not get people to vote for you, and many view these emails as both harassing and annoying. If a member is found to continually spam other members for their vote, he may find his site permanently removed from the ring without prior notice. In short, "##NEED A RING## is a personal homepage webring for anyone..." so please be courteous and respect the privacy of other members.
